Job summary

Thoughtworks Singapore is seeking a talented Polyglot Developer to build custom software using Java, C#, Ruby on Rails, Python, and Node.js within a dynamic consultancy. You will thrive in a non-hierarchical environment and collaborate with smart people who shape technology and social impact.

You will craft enterprise solutions across diverse domains, focusing on hands-on coding, design patterns, and close collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of development and delivery experience with Java, C#, Ruby on Rails, Python, or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience in analysis, design, coding, and implementation of complex, custom-built applications.
• Strong OOP skills with knowledge of design patterns.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, NoSQL.

Ideally, you should you have:

• At least 8 years of development and delivery experience with Java / C# / Ruby on Rails / Python / Node.js or any similar exciting technologies.
• Hands-on experience in analysis, design, coding, and implementation of complex, custom-built applications
• Great OOP skills, including strong design patterns knowledge
• Familiarity with few databases, like MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, NoSQL, etc
• Experience working with, or an interest in Agile Methodologies, such as Extreme Programming (XP) and Scrum
• Knowledge of software best practices, like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI)
• Strong communication and client-facing skills with the ability to work in a consulting environment are essential
• Desire to contribute to the wider technical community through collaboration, coaching, and mentoring of other technologists
