Job summary

Organisational Relationships

Working in a product line which involves the servicing and maintenance of tactical diving vehicles and diving equipment, the Product Service Technician will execute maintenance tasks as delegated by the project team then manage and report progess. Technician will work alongside JFD technicians and customer represtention daily

May be deployed across other business stream/product lines reporting to respective PM when resource planning permits

Each business stream PM reports to regional GM

Job Purpose

Role will work though tasks for specific product line scope in the form of job cards. Tasks include cleaning, disassembly, servicing, greasing, assemble and function testing of mechanical and electrical systems on a marine craft which includes diesel engines hydraulic, network systems.

Once maintenance scope is completed, craft will be returned to operational state to customer

Principal Accountabilities

Principal working location is at Changi Naval Base and JFS workshop, with posibility for global travel as project requirement

  • Supervise and conduct the planned maintenance and defective technical activities for marine systems in accordance with approved technical manuals, plans and procedures. Ability to read technical drawings and procedured
  • Applied knowledge and experience to delegate maintenance tasks
  • Attention to details while working across a range of tasks and systems
  • Accurate reporting and planning to support production scheduling
  • Good time management
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with customer
  • Ability to work independently without supervision when under stress situations
  • Willingness to participate in the Company's Quality Management System
  • Committed to follow safety procedures and uphold a positive safety culture
  • Assist in maintaining and keep up to date the technicial library of publications, manuals, procedures, and drawing as appropriate.
  • Develope, review regularly and maintain risk assessments and safety-related documentation of the system
  • Assist Project Lead with the planned maintenance and defect rectification activities
  • Liaise with Project Lead in respect of all QA and Safety issues
  • Strong Leadership and Communication skills to influence and enforce a positive safety culture
  • Any other tasks as reasonably request by Project Lead
  • Perform functional check on the craft while deployed in test basin
Special Features

Background in Armed forces with a role relating to engineering or maintenance would be an advantage

Experience and Skills Required

The role require a broadbase of experience in the engineering, marine and associated industries which include the following

  • Technicial Qualification - Diploma/Degree
  • Minmum of 5 years experience in mechanical/electrical system maintenance, operations and troubleshooting
  • Minmum of 5 years experience in pneumatic/hydraulic/marine disciplines
  • Medically fit to be deployed and work onboard ship which will involve working in small spaces and lifting and moving equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • IT literate
  • Willingness to participate in the Company's Quality Management System and underake auditor training and functions across the Company
