Qualifications

As search continues to evolve beyond traditional search engines into AI-powered discovery and generative search, we are expanding our capabilities across both SEO and GEO. We are looking for an experienced Senior SEO & GEO Strategist to strengthen our SEO/GEO capabilities and support client campaigns across Singapore and regional markets.

Job Summary

As a Senior SEO & GEO Strategist, you will focus primarily on strategy, technical analysis, campaign optimisation, audits, quality assurance and SEO/GEO capability development. You will work closely with our SEO/GEO Specialists and Digital Marketing Account Managers to develop and improve strategies across traditional organic search and emerging AI search platforms.

This is a hands‑on strategic role rather than a people‑management position. You should be comfortable analysing complex websites, diagnosing campaign issues, identifying growth opportunities and translating findings into clear recommendations that the wider team can execute.

You will also contribute to the continued development of Verz's GEO capabilities, including AI visibility, prompt strategy, citation and source analysis, AI-oriented content optimisation and emerging AI search practices.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Technical Optimisation

• Develop and review SEO strategies across different clients, industries and website types.
• Conduct technical SEO audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, redirects, canonicals, internal linking, structured data and website performance.
• Conduct keyword, topic, search-intent and competitor research to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop on-page, content and authority-building strategies aligned with client business objectives.
• Support website migrations and technically complex SEO projects.
• Analyse campaign performance, diagnose underperformance and recommend clear optimisation priorities.
• Translate SEO data and technical findings into actionable recommendations for the execution team.

GEO, AEO & AI Search

• Support the development and execution of GEO, AEO and AI Search strategies.
• Conduct AI visibility audits, prompt research, competitor analysis and citation/source-gap analysis.
• Identify commercially relevant prompts and conversational search opportunities based on client objectives and customer search behaviour.
• Develop recommendations around AI-oriented content, direct-answer structures, FAQs, schema, entities, topical authority and third-party authority signals.
• Monitor brand and competitor visibility across platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI search experiences, Gemini, Perplexity and other emerging AI platforms.
• Use relevant GEO / AI visibility monitoring tools to evaluate performance, identify opportunities and inform campaign direction.
• Test and document GEO/AEO approaches, experiments and learnings to continuously improve campaign methodology.

Campaign QA & Team Support

• Review SEO/GEO audits, strategies and recommendations produced by the wider team.
• Provide technical and strategic guidance to SEO/GEO Specialists and Coordinators.
• Identify campaign risks, gaps and areas requiring deeper analysis or optimisation.
• Share practical knowledge, methodologies and emerging SEO/GEO learnings with the team.
• Contribute to the development of SOPs, checklists, training materials and campaign frameworks.

Client & Pre-Sales Support

• Work closely with Account Managers to ensure SEO/GEO strategies are aligned with client business and marketing objectives.
• Provide senior strategic input for complex or underperforming accounts.
• Participate in selected virtual client meetings where technical or strategic SEO/GEO expertise is required.
• Support SEO/GEO audits and strategic recommendations for selected pitches and proposals.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably across multiple clients, industries or websites.
• Strong technical and strategic SEO knowledge across technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content strategy, keyword/topic research and authority building
• Hands-on exposure to GEO, AEO, AI Search Optimisation or AI visibility initiatives is preferred.
• Candidates with GEO/AEO experience should be able to demonstrate practical work, including the methodology, tools, experiments, learnings and/or measurable results.
• Familiarity with AI visibility monitoring, prompt tracking, citation/source analysis, entity optimisation and AI-oriented content strategy is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of GA4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or equivalent platforms.
• Familiarity with relevant AI visibility / LLM monitoring tools is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect SEO/GEO performance metrics to broader client business and marketing objectives.
• Strong problem-solving ability with the confidence to challenge existing strategies and recommend better approaches where necessary.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical or complex findings clearly.
• Agency or multi-client experience is advantageous.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior SEO team members is a plus; formal people-management experience is not required.
• Proactive, data-driven and comfortable continuously learning and experimenting as search engines and AI platforms evolve.
• Able to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a Singapore-based team.

Remote Working Arrangement:

This is a fully remote position working closely with our Singapore-based Digital Marketing team.
