Job summary

A*STAR is seeking a senior professional to join our FAB Operations team in Singapore. You will handle multiple semiconductor tool types in a cleanroom, operate equipment per process specs, and contribute to training and data collection.

The role requires extensive experience in wafer fabrication and strong analytical and communication skills. Based in Ang Mo Kio, you will work with Engineers-in-Charge to support equipment recovery and project lots movement, while maintaining safety and 6S

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microelectronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in semiconductor fabrication processes (e.g., Photolithography, Etch, Thin Films, Diffusion, CMP, Metrology, bonder) preferred.
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor equipment operation in a cleanroom environment is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing abilities.
• Team player with good communication skills and ability to guide a group of operators.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple tool types of semiconductor equipment in a cleanroom environment.
• Working Location: Ang Mo Kio, Singapore.
• Use computer-based programs and applications to perform daily tasks.
• Operate equipment according to required process specifications and change notifications.
• Participate in on-the-job training and complete required trainings.
• Provide operation coverage and backup equipment support when necessary.
• Monitor tools output and communicate with Engineers-in-Charge to support equipment recovery and project lots movement.
• Assist in data collection and collaborate to improve wafer processing cycle time, equipment utilization, safety, and cost savings.
