Job summary

Confidential seeks an experienced Equipment Section Manager for the semiconductor diffusion implant area in Singapore. You will lead the equipment team, drive KPI performance, and ensure long-term success through compliant processes and proactive risk management.

You will implement SPC, FMEA and QMS to detect issues early and guide continuous improvements while managing budgets and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master’s Degree in Engineering discipline
• 8 years of relevant working experience in Diffusion Implantation Equipment - Semiconductor Industry
• Min 5 years of proven track record in a managerial role with strong leadership capabilities
• Highly driven, motivated and resourceful
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
• Proficient in MS Office and good data analytical skill

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall well-being of the equipment section, including team morale, KPI performance, and long-term success.
• Set clear expectations on compliance with MRB, TECN, 8D, and specification requirements.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure action items are tracked to closure.
• Drive SPC, FMEA, and QMS for timely issue detection and continuous improvement.
• Establish and sustain continuous improvement programs to prevent quality, line yield, and sort yield excursions.
• Maintain a project monitoring system to track progress and fab requirements.
• Set section targets to minimize wafer scrap, defects, and rework, improving process capability.
• Forecast and manage equipment repair and maintenance budget; drive cost reduction.
• Collaborate with Process and Manufacturing Section Managers to resolve equipment constraints and optimize OEE.
• Ensure EHS compliance and uphold housekeeping practices.
• Implement a spare parts inventory system with usage forecasting and disciplined inventory management.
• Define roles and review performance; support career development.
• Ensure training and competency across the team.
• Establish a knowledge database for project learnings.

• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements; support EHS management system improvements and uphold good housekeeping practices.


• Implement a spare parts inventory system with usage forecasting; ensure team discipline in maintaining inventory and housekeeping standards.


• Define clear roles and responsibilities; set and regularly review employee performance expectations; support career development and empowerment within the team.


• Ensure all employees possess the necessary training, knowledge, and competency to perform their roles effectively.


• Establish a performance reporting structure that enables employees to document and share project learnings in the knowledge database for future reference and training.
