Job description
Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for a research scientist who has strong interest and background in corrosion science and technology (including but not limited to electrochemical and molten salt conditions) and development of protective coatings on structural metal alloys towards their applications in extreme conditions (e.g., fusion energy plants).

Job Requirements:
  • PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, Condensed Matter Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong publication record and/or demonstrated research experience in corrosion science, high-temperature materials, or alloy development.
  • Proven expertise in corrosion or hot-corrosion testing, alloy engineering, and material characterization.
  • Experience in protective coating techniques is an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of corrosion mechanisms and degradation behaviour of structural metal alloys.
  • Proactive, independent, and results-oriented working style with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective teamwork and communication abilities.
  • For Senior Scientist: at least 5 years of relevant research experience beyond PhD in corrosion, degradation, or protection of metallic materials.
