Job summary

Wuxi Apptec, Inc. is seeking a senior-level analytical chemist to lead troubleshooting investigations and drive method development in API analysis.

The role involves designing experiments, analyzing data, and reporting findings to support project progress across departments and clients. The candidate should have strong leadership, lab management experience, and fluency in English and Chinese to liaise with stakeholders in China and overseas.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry with relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICH, USP, EP and pharmacopoeias.
• Proven ability to design experiments and analyze data.
• Excellent analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent time management and communication in English and Chinese.

Job description

• Lead and coordinate the analytical trouble shooting investigation, and strong understanding the analytical method development / optimization, pre-validation, and transfer of API analysis.
• Design experiments, analyze data, and write reports for projects.
• Resolve technical issues in the laboratory and provide technical support.
• Lead and train team members to enhance the overall research capabilities of the team.
• Communicate and collaborate with other departments and clients to drive project progress.
• Independently manage projects and oversee laboratory operations.
• Keep up with the latest industry technologies and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Analytical Chemistry, or related fields, with at least 2 years (Ph.D.) or 6 years (Master's) of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in analytical expertise and familiar with relevant regulations such as ICH, Chinese Pharmacopoeia, USP, EP, etc.
• Rich experience in experimental design and data analysis
