Job summary

North London Collegiate School (Singapore) seeks a Senior School Social and Emotional Guidance Counsellor to support students during the transition into early adolescence. You will work with the pastoral team to provide counselling and wellbeing services in a safeguarding-aware environment.

The role focuses on evidence-informed counselling, early intervention and preventative support, with collaboration across staff, families and external specialists to support balanced caseloads and safe school

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience supporting children and adolescents in school or mental health settings.
• Deep understanding of youth developmental, emotional, social and educational needs.
• Demonstrated cultural responsiveness across diverse backgrounds and knowledge of child safeguarding legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, student-centred social and emotional wellbeing support.
• Deliver evidence-informed counselling, early intervention and preventative support.
• Collaborate with pastoral leaders, the DSL team, teaching staff, families and external specialists to manage transitions and maintain balanced caseloads.
