NLCS (Singapore) is looking for an enthusiastic, highly qualified and committed Senior School Office Staff, with an outstanding track record. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of the NLCS family of schools, drawing on the significant educational expertise and resources of NLCS International.

Responsibilities

The primary function of the Senior School Office is to provide administrative support to the Senior School academic faculty. Each member of the Senior School Office team is expected to contribute to all of the functions assigned to the Office, as directed. These include:

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support for the Senior VP, the VP (Pastoral) and the Senior School APs, including booking appointments with parents.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for communication from parents of Senior School students.
  • Providing a communication link between Senior School academic staff and the operations and facilities departments (catering, security, maintenance, porterage, cleaning, etc).
  • Maintaining Senior School student records and associated files.
  • Assisting Senior School academic staff with the completion and submission of purchase requests for teaching & learning resources.
  • Managing the Senior School petty cash fund and associated procedures.
  • Managing Senior School student registration, absence & lateness procedures, including follow-up with parents as appropriate.
  • Ensuring that hard copy registers for all Senior School tutor groups are produced each morning and afternoon for use in the event of an evacuation.
  • Managing the Senior School stationery store, including stock checking and ordering stationery items.
  • Providing administrative support to the operations department for the management of school buses carrying Senior School students, including bus lists, arrivals and departures.
  • Providing ad hoc administrative support as required for:
    1. Senior School ticketed events
    2. Senior School sports events & fixtures
    3. Senior School parent consultations, information days and other parent engagement events
    4. Whole School and Senior School staff meetings & staff briefing
    5. Senior School teaching staff cover
    6. Senior School trips and visits (including booking tickets, arranging transport, etc)
    7. Co-curricular activities (CCAs)
    8. University & Careers Guidance

  • Abiding by the school safeguarding policy and keep abreast of any changes
Qualifications/Skills
  • Minimum Diploma and above
  • At least 3 years’ relevant working within a school or other education environments will be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, to liaise with stakeholders across all levels
  • Ability to prioritise work, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Available to commence work on short notice
