Job summary

A global leader in scientific instrumentation based in Singapore is looking for a Sales Representative to achieve sales targets across analytical products. The role involves developing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and collaborating with internal teams for support. In Singapore, the company operates as a regional hub, supporting customers across research institutes, government agencies, academic laboratories, and commercial industries such as pharmaceuticals, electronics, semiconductors, and food safety. The local team is well-established and highly specialized, providing end-to-end support that spans instrument consultation, applications expertise, technical service, and workflow optimization.

The Job
  • Achieve annual order, sales, and margin targets with YoY growth across all analytical product lines.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to identify and generate business opportunities.
  • Build strong customer relationships by providing technical information and addressing all inquiries.
  • Prepare configurations and quotations, and drive opportunities to closure.
  • Take full ownership of assigned accounts by scheduling customer visits, understanding their pain points, coordinating with internal teams to resolve application issues, and managing all sales activities.
  • Demonstrate strong urgency in follow-ups and escalate issues promptly when required.
  • Stay up to date on market trends and competitive offerings.
  • Plan and implement marketing activities relevant to company's solutions to stimulate customer demand.
  • Set up, update, and monitor accurate customer information and sales opportunities in a timely and organized manner.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations through face-to-face visits or seminars, effectively positioning company's solutions to address customer needs.
  • Gather market; customer insights to support internal discussions, strategic planning, and business plans.
  • Collaborate closely with internal applications, service teams, and product line leaders to ensure strong customer support.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and develop quarterly action plans to support business objectives.
  • Maintain high standards of CRM data quality.
The Talent
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a relevant field.
  • 5 years of sales experience in analytical instrumentation (e.g., chromatography, inorganic, or material characterization equipment).
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with proficiency in verbal and written English and Chinese.
  • Possesses own transport and willing to travel as required.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Salesforce is an added advantage.
