Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior sales specialist, located in Petaling Jaya OR Singapore office. This position manages the sales and innovation pipeline of medium/large, complex accounts and distribution in Malaysia and Singapore with the key objective to maintain and grow in alignment to the sales goals and marketing plan. You will be responsible in Dow application in these industries:

  • Coatings, Inks and Adhesives
  • Lubricants and Fuels
  • Industrial and Institutional Cleaning and Home Care
  • Rubber Glove market
  • And other markets such as Agriculture (Crop Solutions) and Pharmaceutical industry
Responsibilities / Duties
  • Manages account portfolio - develops and implements account plans.
  • Leads and coordinates customer relationships.
  • Charters business development projects/strategies, and investigates new channels to market.
  • Develops and executes sales/marketing plan, delivering both value and volume.
  • Collects and utilizes market intelligence to shape sales/marketing plan.
  • Leads/conducts negotiations and implements price change.
  • Collaborates with other function(s) stakeholders to deliver improving CX results.
  • Delivers growth, including cross business opportunities.
  • Understands short vs long term tradeoffs and is able to articulate them for win solutions.
  • Comfortable leading and organizing meetings with business leadership and the customer.
  • Strong bias for action and thorough follows up.
  • Highly self-motivated and seeks out missing information to complete projects successfully.
  • Prioritizes business objectives with an owner's mindset.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s in Business, Chemistry, or Engineering is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of sales experience within the chemical industry.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in technologies related to Pharma, Lubricants, Fuels, and Crop Solutions.
  • Candidates from major Chemical/Material Science MNC would be preferred.
