A leading hotel in Singapore seeks a Senior Sales Manager to maximize revenue opportunities in room reservations. Responsibilities include acquiring new business, managing existing relationships, and collaborating effectively with teams to drive sales. Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience in the hotel industry, with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. This role is crucial for maintaining the hotel's market position in international business travel segments.
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue opportunities in the areas of room reservations by driving sales acquisitions, maximizing business opportunities, and increasing business conversions. The person is knowledgeable on local and international market trends and would recommend strategic sales initiatives to win the business and maintain hotel's market leader position as preferred hotel for international business travel segments.
Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the incumbent shall be responsible to:-
Acquire new business and maintain existing business relationships with accounts.
Maximize group room revenue and maintain accurate room blocks including group attrition.
Follow through from negotiation to actualisation and final bill settlement for groups.
Comply to brand standards and maintain quality assurance with support for internal audits and handling mystery shopping calls.
Identify gaps in revenue contribution and recommend implementation of initiatives to mitigate shortfalls.
Understand customer needs through telephone sales, face-to-face visits and other forms, achieving sales.
Produce quotations efficiently, send contracts to customers and follow-up promptly.
Show clients around the hotel.
Operate the hotel reservation system to book rooms, banquet venues, etc.
Send the team’s work order promptly and ensure that the relevant departments receive relevant information.
Establish a good relationship with customers, maintaining the update of customer information and promptly report customer needs and feedback to the hotel.
Recommend other hotel brands within the group to clients.
Proactively collect market and industry information to share with other members of the Sales team to capture business opportunities and ultimately convert to business confirmations.
Understand and be familiar with all product information of competitors, including key customers and their output, hotel rooms, catering, conference related promotion information, and promptly feedback the information to the Director of Sales.
Welcome key customers, team leaders and VIPs to the hotel when they arrive.
Ensure effective communication between the Sales team and the hotel Operations team through regular meetings and assist the Banquet Sales or Operations department to follow-up on events occurring during the banquet or meeting.
Handle guest feedback or complaints.
Maximize sales at all times and effectively forecast team and banquet revenue.
Provide necessary supervision and guidance to the Sales Director or sales representative as needed in developing team quotes or contracts.
Actively participate in the development of marketing plans and collaborate to achieve budgets.
Chair and attend meetings as needed.
Conscientiously perform assigned tasks and special tasks.
Must have proven track record of at least 2 to 3 years of work experience in a similar capacity in the hotel industry.
Self-driven, highly motivated, proactive, service and result oriented.
Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
Able to work independently and in a team.
