Senior Sales Executive (Plastic / Polymer)

Job Summary: Join a global trading team driving regional sales and marketing of plastic resins across Asia.

Responsibilities
  • Drive sales and marketing activities with suppliers across the region.
  • Coordinate with overseas offices to expand sales of plastic resin (PP).
  • Establish credit lines and manage customer credit control in line with company policies.
  • Analyze financial status of customers to support credit decisions.
  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, and overseas offices including Head Office.
  • Provide regular pricing updates from suppliers to customers/distributors.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of sales budgets with suppliers/distributors.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports and performance summaries.
  • Visit and service customers to maintain strong relationships.
  • Identify new customers and develop business opportunities.
  • Support sales presentations for new product grades.
  • Manage customer support activities and personnel to align with product marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with liaison offices to support regional customers.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in assigned areas.
  • Support principals in achieving sales budgets based on fixed pricing.
  • Handle outstanding invoices and customer complaints.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies within assigned areas.
  • Assist in local key account management and customer engagement.
  • Share local market intelligence with internal teams.
  • Coordinate agent activities, technical services, marketing, and distribution.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration across departments.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of plastics and polymer materials.
  • Experience in import/export business, including forwarding and trading activities.
  • Willingness to travel for business within the assigned region.
  • Comfortable with occasional evening entertainment with clients and business associates.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with strong presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Japanese language is an advantage for liaising with Japanese‑speaking clients and stakeholders.
