Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Chemical Treatment Manager to oversee client chemical treatment programs and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of technical or sales experience in related fields, a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, and excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize chemical treatment programs at client sites, addressing any deviations from treatment plans promptly.
  • Perform and support analytical field testing in collaboration with service technicians.
  • Prepare regular reports and conduct monthly technical reviews for clients.
  • Plan and oversee chemical inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and smooth operations at client facilities.
  • Implement and maintain equipment maintenance programs to ensure system reliability and uptime.
  • Develop and present chemical treatment proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Lead and evaluate new applications and initiatives to improve process efficiency and performance.
  • Identify and execute value-added projects aimed at reducing clients’ Total Cost of Operation (TCO).
  • Troubleshoot treatment program or product-related issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and support billing accuracy.
  • Prepare executive performance review materials and reports for management and clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and technical support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline, with at least 8 years of relevant technical or field sales experience.
  • Proven track record in technical sales or field service support within industrial or process environments.
  • Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Experience in refinery or chemical plant environments preferred.
  • Valid Class 3/3A driving license.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer engagement abilities.
  • Able to work independently and adapt to refinery or plant site conditions.
