About the Role

As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will lead key initiatives to drive digital transformation and product innovation for financial services organizations. With your deep technical expertise and consulting background, you will serve as a strategic leader, shaping the technical direction for clients and driving collaboration between the product and sales teams. This role requires an experienced professional who excels at client engagement, internal leadership, and fostering innovation that leads to revenue generation.

What does a great Senior Sales Engineer do?

A great Senior Sales Engineer is both a strategic consultant and a sales leader, driving technical solutions that meet client needs while collaborating with product and sales teams to fuel innovation. You will lead client engagements, shaping solutions that solve complex business challenges, and guide product development based on real-world insights. By leveraging your consulting expertise, you will drive both technical direction and revenue growth, ensuring InvestCloud remains a market leader.

How you will provide meaningful contributions :
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives for clients, acting as a strategic advisor on both technical and business fronts.
  • Collaborate with the product and sales teams to drive product innovation, identifying market opportunities and shaping new solutions that generate revenue.
  • Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team, including engineers, analysts, and consultants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-focused solutions.
  • Partner with the product team to influence the development roadmap, ensuring that client feedback and market trends are integrated into product innovations.
  • Drive the discovery process for clients, leveraging your expertise in financial services technology and digital transformation to architect tailored solutions.
  • Present complex technical concepts to C-level executives, positioning InvestCloud as the leading solution in the financial services industry.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by managing client relationships and fostering growth opportunities through consultative selling.
  • Provide internal thought leadership by sharing best practices and driving excellence across teams, promoting a culture of innovation.
Required qualifications for the role
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting, with a strong focus on financial services / Private Banking & Wealth Management as well as digital transformation.
  • Expertise in client-facing roles, with the ability to build trust and credibility with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a heavy focus on C-Suite Executives.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing and mentoring multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with product and sales organizations to drive product development and revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, InvestCloud’s PWP, Excel, and other standard industry tools.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical solutions into business value.
  • College or University degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Preferred Skills / Experience
  • Successful track record of leading product innovation initiatives within a financial services firm or fintech environment.
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and lead initiatives that align product innovation with revenue generation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a systematic approach to resolving client challenges.
  • Experience working across multiple disciplines, including product development, finance, and digital advisory.
  • Expertise in consultative sales processes, with a proven ability to drive client acquisition and growth.
