Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking a highly experienced Resident Engineer to oversee civil and building structural works for large mixed-use developments. You will coordinate across architecture, structure, M&E, and landscape disciplines, ensuring alignment with project specs and Building Control Act.

The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, 12+ years of relevant experience, and strong leadership with excellent communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
12+ years of experience in mixed development projects (Grade A offices, retail, museums/theatres).
Experience in demolition, deep excavation with ERSS works, and bored piling is preferred.
Experience in façade, waterproofing, and defect inspections; strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise civil and building structural works per project specs, drawings and Building Control Act.
Manage Resident Technical Officers across architecture, structure, M&E, and landscape works.
Validate overtime requisitions and supervise temporary works as needed.
Maintain records, monitor schedules, ensure safety, and attend project meetings.
Inspect demolition, top-down construction, deep excavation, and piling operations.
