The candidate will be responsible for conducting research on Novel Cryptography Algorithms and Techniques toImprove Security in Robotic systems. Successful candidate will be part of an active research team led by Prof Haiyang Xue from School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS), Singapore Management University (SMU).
Candidate's core responsibilities are:
- The design of tailored post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) algorithms for Robotic Systems.
- Efficient and secure implement of post-quantum cryptographic algorithms.
- Investigate the design of lightweight authentication for resource-constrained robotic nodes.
- Implement and benchmark the resulting lightweight authentication algorithms.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or closely related disciplines from an institution of higher learning; with particular focus on cryptography
- Minimum 3 years of relevant research experience in cybersecurity or cryptography is preferred
- Proficiency in programming software/languages such as C and Python will be positively considered/ is required
- Proven track record and professional experience in secure implementation of PQC algorithms
- Demonstrated experience and know-how on cybersecurity and/or cryptography
- Excellent working knowledge of post-quantum cryptography, such as lattice, coding, and mpc-in-the-head
- Technical skills in security analysis of cryptographic protocols
- Ability to break down complex problems and design effective solutions
- Innovating new approaches and thinking outside the box
- Applicants with research publications in cryptography/cybersecurity area will be advantageous
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a small, agile academic research team is essential
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively with team members
