Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Senior Repair Development Team Leader to drive industrialization and support for global Repair Technologies in the Gas Power segment.

You will lead AMRT Repair Development to advance processes, quality, and productivity across the repair network. The role requires leading Special Process Engineers, solving cross-functional technical issues, and ensuring centers meet qualifications for repair procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years experience in process or product development.
• Strong understanding of Repair Technologies (Machining, Joining, Coatings, Inspection, Robotics, Automation or Surface Preparation).
• Team player with ability to collaborate with internal and external customers.
• Lean methodology understanding and application.
• Willingness to travel ~10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Special Process Engineers to develop new manufacturing and repair process technology.
• Solve technical issues across cross-functional teams.
• Ensure transfer of development processes and validate centers' qualifications and certifications.
• Support design, analysis, or evaluation of projects using sound engineering principles.
• Monitor project status and formulate recovery plans when impediments arise.
• Maintain knowledge of processes to address engineering challenges.
• Document technical data per policies, retaining knowledge and learnings.
• Provide continuous improvement across the repair network.
• Collaborate with supply chain and other GE organizations for improvements.

Job Description Summary

The Senior Repair Development Team Leader, is a People Leader, responsible for the development, industrialization, and support for various Repair Technologies for the Gas Power business globally. You will be part of AMRT (Advanced Manufacturing & Repair Technology) Repair Development team, leading the industrialization of process around the global repair network to deliver quality and productivity.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Special Process Engineers to develop new manufacturing and repair process technology to assist component teams in implementing repair strategies or fulfilling factory NPI requirements.


• Perform problem solving for technical issues and work across cross functional teams to resolve such challenges.


• Ensure the successful transfer of development processes and validate repair service centers' qualifications and certifications for their repair procedures.


• Enable the Engineering Team to execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles while adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.


• Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments, and formulate recovery plans in the event of impediments to projects.


• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of process or product knowledge, to effectively address diverse engineering challenges and select the most appropriate method for specific applications.


• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures, to retain knowledge and learnings


• Provide continuous improvement support and seek opportunities to enhance processes across the repair network.


• Collaborate with supply chain, component teams, productivity departments, and other GE organizations to identify opportunities for projects and improvements within the supply chain network.

Qualifications/ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or an equivalent engineering degree, or equivalent experience.


• Minimum of 10 years of experience process or product development


• Demonstrate strong understanding of Repair Technologies, such as Machining, Joining, Coatings, Inspection, Robotics, Automation or Surface Preparation


• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external customers.


• Good understanding of lean methodology.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 10% of the time, as required.
