Job summary

Singapore Refining Company Private Limited on Jurong Island seeks a Mechanical Engineer focused on maintenance of rotating equipment. The role involves investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing durable solutions within a preventive maintenance framework.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least four years of experience in plant equipment maintenance, preferably with rotating machinery in oil/petrochemical settings.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 4 years' experience in maintenance of plant equipment, especially rotating machinery.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyse incidents pertaining to rotating equipment failure to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Identify, analyse and troubleshoot machinery deficiencies and make recommendations for improvement.
• Monitor and review Preventive Maintenance program to achieve high plant availability.
• Monitor Condition Monitoring program, analyse and propose recommendations for predictive maintenance.
• Establish programs to maximize plant availability and equipment reliability.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Located on Jurong Island, the petrochemical hub of Singapore, SRC operates a refinery that is capable of processing 290,000 barrels of crude oil per day to produce fuel products and chemical feedstocks that are supplied to domestic markets and overseas export markets under the brand labels of its shareholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Investigate and analyse incidents pertaining to rotating equipment failure or malfunction in order to identify root causes of problems and recommend & implement solutions.
• Identify, analyse and troubleshoot machinery deficiencies and make recommendation for improvement.
• Monitor and review implementation of Preventive Maintenance program to achieve high plant availability.
• Monitor Condition Monitoring program, analyse and propose recommendations for predictive maintenance.
• Establish programs and initiatives to maximize plant availability and equipment reliability.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering

OTHER INFORMATION

• At least 4 years' experience in maintenance of plant equipment especially rotating machinery, preferably in oil/petrochemical or related industries. Candidates with no experience are welcomed to apply for entry level position.
