A leading fintech company in Singapore is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager to drive strategic business development and manage high-value partnerships. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of experience in the payments sector and possess strong technical expertise in digital payment solutions. The Senior Relationship Manager is responsible for driving strategic business development and managing high-value partnerships across assigned markets, regions, or industries. This role plays a critical part in expanding the company’s presence within the payments, fintech, and digital commerce sectors by developing strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities that enhance revenue growth and transaction volume. The incumbent will serve as a trusted advisor to partners, leveraging deep industry knowledge and technical expertise to deliver solutions that strengthen the organization’s competitive position and long-term market success.
In this role, the Senior Relationship Manager leads the full lifecycle of business development, from identifying new opportunities and responding to RFPs to preparing proposals and executing commercial agreements that align with company objectives. The position involves building and maintaining long-term relationships with key partners, clients, and industry stakeholders to ensure sustained engagement and business growth.
The role also requires a keen understanding of market and industry dynamics. The Senior Relationship Manager continuously monitors emerging technologies, fintech developments, and competitive trends to guide strategic planning and partnership initiatives. By collaborating closely with internal teams such as Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Product, the manager ensures that all new initiatives are executed effectively and meet regulatory and operational requirements.
Additionally, this position emphasizes the importance of operational excellence. The Senior Relationship Manager addresses client inquiries promptly, resolves issues efficiently, and negotiates commercial terms and incentive structures that deliver mutual value. The ability to identify and mitigate risk is essential, as the role involves escalating any potential challenges or customer-impacting issues to management to maintain service quality and operational continuity.
Must Have: The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, and possess a minimum of eight years of experience in payments, relationship management, or marketing. The position also requires at least eight years of technical expertise in digital payment solutions, including mobile payments, vehicle commerce, SRC, payment chip technology, or IoT innovations. Candidates should demonstrate a strong ability to engage digital and fintech partners and possess solid business acumen with a focus on driving revenue and expanding strategic portfolios.
A master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred. Experience in business development within fintech, credit, debit, prepaid, or commercial payments will be highly advantageous. Candidates with a proven record of success in complex negotiations and managing large-scale partnerships will be considered strong contenders for this position.
