Position Overview

The Senior Regional Business Development Director (M&A) is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing M&A opportunities across ASEAN markets. This leadership role requires a seasoned professional with deep regional exposure and a strong network of business owners, senior executives, and investors.

The incumbent will leverage established relationships and market insights to source, structure, and execute M&A transactions that align with the company’s growth strategy. A strong understanding of regional business landscapes, particularly in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement regional M&A and business development strategies to achieve the company’s growth objectives.
  • Source and identify potential acquisition, investment, or partnership opportunities through an existing network of business owners, CEOs, and key decision-makers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate leaders, private equity firms, investment banks, and advisory networks across ASEAN.
  • Conduct preliminary deal evaluation, financial analysis, and due diligence coordination in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Negotiate deal structures, terms, and conditions to ensure value creation and alignment with corporate goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the executive team and legal advisors to manage the end-to-end M&A process from origination to post-merger integration.
  • Provide insights into regional market trends, competitor activities, and potential targets to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Represent the company at business forums, networking events, and industry conferences to enhance visibility and partnership opportunities.
Key Requirements
  • Ready list of SME network across ASEAN (minimally Singapore and another ASEAN country)
  • Willingness to travel frequently across ASEAN. Preference will be given to candidates who are willing to be based for at least half a year abroad
Other requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in M&A or business development.
  • Strong personal network and established relationships with business owners, investors, and senior executives in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore.
  • Deep understanding of regional business environments, regulatory frameworks, and investment landscapes.
  • Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly self‑motivated, strategic, and able to operate independently in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across ASEAN. Preference will be given to candidates who are willing to be based for at least half a year abroad
