Hytech is seeking an experienced Senior Market Data Platform Engineer in Singapore to design, build, and optimize high‑performance data infrastructure for quantitative research, trading, and execution.

The role focuses on real‑time data processing, large‑scale data management, and robust data pipelines, involving Tick Data, Order Book, Trade Data, and Reference Data. Collaboration with quant researchers and traders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Platform/Market Data Engineering or Real-Time Data Systems.
• Hands-on experience designing and building data platforms from scratch (0-to-1).
• Strong data ingestion, cleansing, normalization, data modeling, and data quality management.
• Experience with high‑throughput, real‑time pipelines and large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable market data platforms and real‑time infrastructure for research, trading, and execution.
• Develop and maintain high‑throughput data pipelines for real‑time market data and related datasets.
• Own end-to-end data ingestion, cleansing, normalization, validation, storage, and distribution with data quality in mind.
• Design and optimize database architecture and data models for large‑scale real‑time and historical datasets.
• Build and enhance data processing frameworks, monitoring, and data quality controls.
• Collaborate with researchers, traders, and execution teams to meet data needs and improve usability.
• Identify bottlenecks, optimize latency and throughput, and ensure platform scalability and stability.
• Contribute to the architecture and ongoing development of the trading data platform.
