Job summary

Singtel is seeking a Senior Specialist in Radio Network Engineering to evaluate, validate, and introduce new RAN technologies in line with the company’s network evolution strategy. The role covers standards analysis, lab testing, field trials, and readiness activities to ensure improved performance, efficiency, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in mobile radio network engineering, RAN planning, optimisation, technology introduction, or network performance.
• Hands-on experience in evaluating, testing, and deploying LTE and 5G NR features.
• Experience working with radio equipment vendors and cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate emerging RAN technologies, vendor solutions, and 3GPP Releases to support network evolution and roadmap planning.
• Review and assess new 3GPP specifications and industry developments including AI/ML for RAN optimisation and ISAC.
• Conduct technical evaluation of new RAN software features, hardware platforms, and vendor releases.
• Develop, execute, and manage laboratory validation plans to verify feature functionality and compliance.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute PoC, interoperability testing, pilot deployments, and field trials.
• Support commercial rollout of approved radio technologies with deployment strategies and docs.
• Analyze trial and post-deployment data to identify improvements and optimisations.
• Collaborate with planning, optimisation, core network, transport, OSS, and vendor teams.
• Engage equipment vendors to assess roadmaps and interoperability.
• Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and deployment documentation.
