Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Singapore is seeking a qualified Radiographer to perform diagnostic imaging services. Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, adhering to SOP standards, and conducting quality assurance procedures on equipment. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Radiographer in a diagnostic imaging facility.
  • Able to commit to on-call duties.
  • Experience in sub-specialties such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Mammography is preferred.

Job description
Overview

Job description - The Radiographer will perform the range of diagnostic imaging modalities provided by the hospital with a high level of service quality, patient care, efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all diagnostic imaging services according to standards described in SOP.
  • Ensure examination is performed on the correct patient and observes radiation safety rules and respective procedural consents described in SOP.
  • Ensure the quality of the film is optimal, it is correctly labeled and the examination requested has been completed before sending for reporting or providing as wet-film to patient.
  • Ensure that the examination code entered into the system corresponds to the examination requested.
  • Explain the examination to the patient, what he/she will be undergoing and the estimated duration of it.
  • Ensure patients’ safety, physical and emotional well-being is taken care of during and after the examination.
  • Ensure that precautions have been taken to protect patients, staff and public from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation.
  • Perform on-call and after-hours duties when necessary, ensure prompt response which is in line with the prescribed standard of the Hospital.
  • Perform daily QA procedures on equipment according to manufacturers’ recommendations to ensure optimal performance of this equipment.
  • Perform any other duties as instructed by the Director.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography from recognized institutions.
  • Member of professional institutions, local or overseas.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Radiographer in diagnostic imaging facility.
  • Able to commit to on-call.
  • Experience in sub-specialties preferred as in CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Mammography.
  • Those with previous experience in managing Modality areas will be considered for senior position.
  • Good customer service, telephone and public relations skill.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications – Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Good command of spoken, written English, and a second language.
  • Working knowledge of PACS system.
  • 5.5 days work week
