Job summary

A healthcare provider in Singapore is seeking a Senior Radiographer to perform diagnostic imaging services and ensure patient care and safety in line with hospital standards. The ideal candidate must have a relevant degree and at least 2 years of experience in a diagnostic imaging facility. This full-time position has a salary of up to $7000, with responsibilities including on-call duties and quality assurance procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Singapore as a Radiographer.
  • Experience in CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Mammography is preferred.
  • Registered with Allied Health Professions Council.

Responsibilities

Job description
Senior/ Radiographer (Central, up to $7k)

Location: Central/ Farrer Park MRT

Duration: Full Time

Salary: up to $7000

Working Hours: 5.5 day work week, required to perform on-call duties

Responsibilities
  • Perform all diagnostic imaging services according to standards described in SOP.
  • Ensure examination is performed to the correct patient and observes radiation safety rule and respective procedural consents described in SOP.
  • Ensure the quality of the film is optimal, it is correctly labeled and the examination requested has been completed before sending for reporting or providing as wet-film to patient.
  • Ensure that the examination code entered into the system corresponds to the examination requested.
  • Explain the examination to the patient, what he/she will be undergoing and the estimated duration of it.
  • Ensure patients’ safety, physical and emotional well-being is taken care of during and after the examination.
  • Ensure that precautions have been taken to protect patients, staff and public from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation.
  • Perform on-call and after hours duties when necessary, ensure prompt response which is in line with the prescribed standard of the Hospital.
  • Perform daily QA procedures on equipment according to manufacturers’ recommendations to ensure optimal performance of these equipment.
  • Perform any other duties as instructed by the Director.
Requirements
  • Bachelor in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography from recognized institutions.
  • Registered with Allied Health Professions Council.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Singapore as a Radiographer in diagnostic imaging facility.
  • Experience in sub-specialties preferred as in CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Mammography
  • Working knowledge of PACS system.
