Job summary

Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) is expanding its quantum engineering capability and looking for a Senior Professional Officer to lead the operation and development of quantum hardware and photonic systems at the Punggol Digital District. You will integrate with the National Quantum-Safe Network and quantum sensing testbeds, bridging research and applied industry applications.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD with hands-on quantum photonics experience, and proficiency in Python/MATLAB for data

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Quantum Engineering, or closely related field.
• Hands-on laboratory experience with quantum photonic systems and precision instrumentation.
• Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for instrument control and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver laboratory sessions in Quantum Engineering and Photonic Systems.
• Operate, maintain, and develop SIT’s quantum hardware infrastructure.
• Lead or co-lead applied research projects with industry partners.
• Perform hardware bring-up, diagnostics, calibration, and benchmarking of quantum devices.
• Support cryogenic, vacuum, RF/microwave systems and precision optical instrumentation.
• Collaborate with faculty and industry on applied research in photonic quantum tech.
