Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, CS, Mathematics, Quantum Information, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
• 5+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development (including doctoral research).
• Expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing quantum algorithms.
• Strong ability to map classical problems to quantum frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with simulation, modeling, and experimental validation.
• Familiarity with benchmarking methodologies for quantum systems.
• Proven publication/presentation track record.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, researchers, and industry partners.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex computational challenges and identify quantum algorithmic approaches.
• Develop and optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications.
• Estimate resources and analyze performance to define hardware needs.
• Assess feasibility of achieving quantum advantage for selected use cases.
• Adapt algorithms for near-term and NISQ hardware.
• Design benchmarking methods to evaluate system performance and error characteristics.
• Build simulation and modeling frameworks for experimental design and validation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
