Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a role based in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for valuing completed works, preparing budgets, and advising site teams on contractual issues. With a minimum of 5 years experience preferred in M&E, the ideal candidate should possess strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. About the job Senior Quantity Surveyor / Tender (M&E)

Responsibilities
  • Valuing completed works and filing of progress claims
  • Monitoring of procurement process
  • Preparation of budgets
  • Filing of variations / monitoring of project variations
  • Advise site team on contractual issues
  • Conducting site measurements
  • Review and understand all plans and specifications
  • Arranging meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to review the specifications, scope of works and method of construction if required
  • Built‑up rates for costing purpose
  • Attendance of site/technical meetings
  • Drafting of subcontracts
  • Preparation of cost assessment for Variation Orders
  • Evaluation of price comparison summary
  • Carry out quantity take‑off for project which includes sourcing suppliers and sub‑contractors, collate price for comparison
  • Prepare tender and contract documents
  • Prepare and analyse costings for tender
  • Perform risk, value management and cost control
  • Responsible for collecting, sorting, checking other bidding calculations of quantities
  • Accountable for reviewing tender documents, drawings and quantity take‑off
  • Prepare quotations for various technical works, material, manpower etc.
Requirements
  • Min 5 years experience, preferably from M&E
  • Possess good negotiation and coordination skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to communicate with people from all levels.
  • Good team player and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
