Job summary

Lonza in Singapore is seeking a QC-Analyst, Biochemistry, to perform analytical testing, support method transfers and validations, troubleshoot laboratory methods, and contribute to continuous improvement within a GMP-regulated setting.

This site-based role involves executing ELISA, PCR, SDS-PAGE, IEF potency assays, Biacore, and other analytical techniques, while ensuring data integrity and compliance with global guidelines.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Biochemistry or Life Sciences.
• 0–5 years of QC or lab experience in biopharma.
• Hands-on experience with ELISA, PCR, SDS‑PAGE, IEF, Biacore.
• Experience supporting method transfers, method validations, equipment qualification, and lab investigations.
• Good understanding of cGMP, data integrity and global regulatory expectations (FDA/EMA/ICH).

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of final product, in-process, and stability samples per approved methods and SOPs.
• Execute biochemical and analytical methods (ELISA, PCR, SDS‑PAGE, IEF, Biacore) and other physicochemical techniques.
• Support method transfers, validations, and equipment qualification; troubleshoot to ensure readiness and compliance.
• Document, review, and maintain lab data in line with GMP and data integrity policies.
• Investigate OOS events and deviations; assist root cause analysis and technical reporting.
• Authorize and maintain quality documentation (Change Controls, SOPs, test methods).
• Contribute to continuous improvement, lab operations, training and equipment maintenance.

As a QC-Analyst, Biochemistry, you will perform analytical testing, support method transfers and validations, troubleshoot laboratory methods and equipment, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a GMP-regulated environment. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, and technical training activities.

What we are looking for

• Degree, or higher qualification in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• 0 - 5 years of Quality Control or laboratory experience within the biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry.
• Hands‑on experience with biochemical and analytical techniques such as ELISA, PCR, SDS‑PAGE, IEF potency assays, and Biacore.
• Experience supporting method transfers, method validations, equipment qualification, and laboratory investigations.
• Good understanding of cGMP requirements, quality management systems, data integrity principles, and global regulatory expectations including FDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and quality decision‑making skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset and commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
