Job summary

NCS Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to test projects delivered by the VITG group within the NCS Digital division. The role demands strong tactical and strategic QA skills and active participation in continual improvement efforts.

You will mentor QA engineers, define test strategy and plans, oversee test execution, and collaborate with product development to ensure system interfaces and performance requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of software testing experience.
• Experience mentoring QA engineers and managing resources.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Hands-on with white box and black box testing.
• Experience with automated testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Mentor QA engineers and manage resources for projects.
• Define test strategy and test plan based on software development plans.
• Oversee test execution and develop testing artefacts (performance requirements, defect tracking, plans, cases, scripts, reports).
• Evaluate system interfaces and performance requirements with product development.
• Define test methods and plans for new/updated software to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Suggest design improvements to engineers during development.
• Maintain communication with project engineers on limitations and hardware changes.
• Monitor program performance post-implementation to prevent issues.
• Design software systems using analytical methods to predict outcomes.
• Create test tools to facilitate data gathering and execution.
