Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Senior Athena Python Developer to join the Rates risk and PnL delivery team. You will design, develop, and integrate scalable systems supporting trading desks and back-office for rates products.

Collaborate with quants, traders, risk managers, and Equities teams to implement risk metrics, PnL attribution, and data pipelines. You will influence architecture and promote secure, automated testing and AI-assisted development practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied Python experience.
• Strong design, testing, and version control fundamentals.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable Python code for risk and PnL analytics.
• Collaborate with quants, traders, and risk managers to integrate systems.
• Lead architectural decisions and promote automated testing & AI-assisted practices.
• Contribute to enterprise SDLC tooling and secure coding standards.
