The Senior Purchasing Manager for the Beauty Division in Southeast Asia holds full purchasing responsibility for the Indirect Procurement across the region. This role is instrumental in developing and executing procurement strategies that align with the Beauty Division's purchasing roadmap and the overall Southeast Asia strategic objectives in respect with the LVMH group standards. The Senior Purchasing Manager will manage a purchasing manager, drive operational purchasing for a specific category (TBC), and actively engage with key stakeholders to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement practices.

Missions :

Full Purchasing Responsibility (Southeast Asia, Beauty Division):

  • Assume end-to-end ownership for all purchasing activities for the Beauty Division across the Southeast Asia region.
  • Develop, implement, and manage sourcing strategies aligned with business needs and Maisons dynamics in SEA.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis cost‑saving opportunities.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Directly manage and mentor a Purchasing Manager, providing guidance, performance feedback, and supporting their professional growth.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure the Purchaser's contribution aligns with overall purchasing goals and deadlines.

Strategic Contribution & Roadmap Development:

  • Actively contribute to the development and execution of the purchasing roadmap ensuring alignment with global and regional objectives.
  • Play a key role in the formulation and implementation of the broader Southeast Asia purchasing strategy.

Operational Purchasing - TBC Category:

  • Lead the operational procurement of a defined category (TBC) for the Beauty Division in Southeast Asia.
  • Oversee the entire purchasing cycle for that category, from requisition to order placement, delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to budget for all purchases.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with critical internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Sales, Brand Management, Finance, and Supply Chain teams within the Beauty Division and across Southeast Asia.
  • Collaborate effectively to understand requirements, manage expectations, and ensure seamless execution of purchasing initiatives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all purchasing‑related queries and escalations from internal departments

Supplier Relationship & Performance Management:

  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers, building strong, collaborative partnerships.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance regularly, addressing any issues and driving continuous improvement.

Cost Optimization & Compliance:

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and identify value‑added opportunities without compromising quality or supply reliability.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and local regulations across Southeast Asia.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Provide regular reports on purchasing performance, financial savings, and market insights to the LVMH Beauty Division Purchasing, CFO and Local Maison GMs

Technical Skills:

  • Expert Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successful negotiation, contract finalization, and value creation with suppliers.
  • Excellent English Proficiency: Fluent in written and spoken English for effective communication within the regional and international business context.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced skills in Word, Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP), and PowerPoint for reporting, analysis, and presentations.

Would be an Advantage (but not mandatory):

  • Specialized Industry Experience: Prior experience in Counters & Merchandising Purchasing, and/or within the Perfumes & Cosmetics industry (or a similar relevant field).
  • Sustainable & Ethical Procurement Knowledge: Experience with Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and conducting Supplier Audits (ethical, social, and environmental).
  • Advanced Systems Proficiency: Familiarity or experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics AX, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, and/or Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) platforms.

Profile:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Purchasing Education: Specialized purchasing certifications or studies would be considered a significant asset, but are not mandatory.
  • Professional Experience: 5 to 10 years of progressive purchasing experience, with at least 2‑3 years in a supervisory or senior‑level role demonstrating leadership capabilities.
