Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore is seeking a Senior Public Health Officer/Public Health Officer to protect the health of Singaporeans. The role focuses on reducing communicable diseases burden through evidence-based policy formulation and overseeing prevention and control programs, including epidemiological surveillance and timely outbreak response.

You will lead epidemiological investigations, develop surveillance programmes, and provide technical expertise across food and vector borne

Qualifications

• Degree in a life sciences, medical, or nursing background.
• Postgraduate degree in Public Health or Epidemiology or equivalent.
• 2–3 years’ experience in public health is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skillsets.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and across disciplines.
• Willing to work beyond office hours during outbreaks.

Responsibilities

• Formulation, implementation, monitoring and review of prevention and control strategies for food and vector borne diseases.
• Epidemiological investigation and outbreak management for food and vector borne diseases.
• Develop and implement disease surveillance programmes for food and vector borne diseases.
• Provide technical subject matter expertise for food and vector borne diseases.
• Programme management and administration.
