Public Service Division in Singapore seeks a Senior/Public Health Officer to advance public health surveillance by developing AI solutions and turning complex data into actionable insights for evidence-based decisions.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders while delivering scalable data pipelines and impactful visualisations for timely interventions.

Formación

• 3+ years in AI/ML on cloud platforms.
• Experience with LLM-based applications.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Tableau/Power BI.

• Experience in public health analytics is a plus.

• Develop AI prototypes, including LLM-powered agents with capabilities such as RAG and conversational AI for public health intelligence.
• Develop and optimize data strategies to collect, process, and analyze infectious disease data and trigger alerts.
• Design and develop data visualizations for public health decision-making.
• Build scalable data processing pipelines and automate reporting and workflows.
• Conduct model evaluation and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to scope projects and translate findings for diverse audiences.
• Support the division’s other operational priorities as required.

[What the role is]

As a Senior/Public Health Officer in the Advanced Methods and Analytics Division, you will help strengthen public health surveillance and outbreak response by developing AI solutions and turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive evidence-based decisions and interventions.

You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

[What you will be working on]

• Develop AI prototypes, including LLM-powered agents with capabilities such as RAG and conversational AI for public health intelligence
• Develop and optimise strategies to obtain and process infectious disease data, detect outbreak patterns, assess risk levels, and trigger timely alerts
• Design and develop fit-for-purpose data visualisations for public health decision-making
• Build scalable data processing pipelines and automate reporting and business workflows
• Conduct model evaluation and performance monitoring
• Partner with stakeholders to scope projects, address analytical gaps, and translate complex findings into clear outputs for diverse audiences
• Support the division’s other operational priorities, as required

[What we are looking for]

• Minimum 3 years of experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions on cloud platforms (preferably AWS), including LLM-based applications, model evaluation and AI safety
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field will be preferred
• Proficiency in Python/R, SQL, and Tableau/Power BI for interactive dashboard, data pipeline, workflow automation, and enterprise system integration
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience managing vendors and delivering projects within timelines
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear outputs for diverse audiences
• Experience in public health, healthcare or infectious disease analytics would be an advantage
