Job summary

A facilities management company in Singapore is seeking a Facilities Officer to supervise maintenance works and ensure compliance with contractual terms. The ideal candidate holds a relevant diploma and has at least 1 year of experience. Strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to converse in Mandarin are essential for this role. Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and ensure repair and maintenance works are completed satisfactorily.

  • Enforce warranties for building components as necessary.
  • Handle enforcement work at common property area.

Job description

To provide supervision and ensure that all repair and routine maintenance works undertaken by the contractors are carried out properly and completed satisfactorily in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract

To schedule and ensure breakdown, preventive and corrective maintenance activities are carried out effectively

To carry out regular inspections of the common property in the Town and to ensure that such common property is in satisfactory and serviceable condition and properly maintained according to the standards required by the relevant authorities and to recommend any works which are necessary to the Town Council.

To certify completion of jobs undertaken by contractors and to make recommendation for payment thereof

To co-ordinate all consultancy works on maintenance matters performed by professional consultants

To ensure that the contractors carry out their duties and responsibilities properly

To apply and obtain all necessary licenses and certificates from the relevant authorities

To prepare and upkeep minutes and resolutions for circulation to the Town Council and the authorities as and when required

To act on behalf of the Town Council, in enforcing the current warranties (when necessary) in respect of the building components, if any, given by the contractors to the Town Council

To handle enforcement work at common property area

Job Requirements
  • Diploma in Facilities Management Services / Estate Management / Building Maintenance / Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Candidates with prior experience in township management can be considered for Senior Property Officer.
  • Good team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • To conduct site inspections and able to speak Mandarin to interact with the residents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to work beyond normal working hours (5-day work week) and on weekends/ PHs where required.
  • Able to start work immediately or within short notice.
