Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management:
  • Establish project governance structures, including decision‑making frameworks and reporting mechanisms to ensure alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
  • Lead the project team by setting clear goals, expectations, and accountability for each team member, ensuring that all project roles are clearly defined and understood.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of the project team, providing feedback, support, and interventions when necessary to maintain high performance and morale.
  • Take charge during project crises by coordinating with all stakeholders, assessing the situation, and implementing strategies to mitigate risks and minimize impact.
  • Resource Planning and Development:
  • Develop and maintain detailed resource plans, including the allocation of human resources, equipment, and materials, to meet project milestones efficiently.
  • Collaborate with HR to identify, interview, and recruit Project Engineers, Designers, and Drafters as needed based on project requirements and timelines.
  • Design and implement training programs for new hires and existing team members to ensure that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. Develop and implement strategies to retain top talent within the project team, including mentorship programs, career development opportunities, and recognition initiatives. Conduct half‑yearly and yearly appraisals for the project team, providing constructive feedback, setting new objectives, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Project Execution:
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), schedules, and cost estimates, to guide the execution phase.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance: Ensure all project activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards, conducting regular inspections and audits to verify adherence.
  • Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement process, ensuring that all materials and services are acquired on time and within budget. This includes negotiating with suppliers, managing contracts, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Construction Management: Supervise on‑site construction activities to ensure they are executed according to design specifications, timelines, and safety protocols.
  • Contractual Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with contractual obligations, including scope, schedule, and budget, and proactively manage any deviations through change control processes.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and control project costs, identifying areas of potential savings, and managing expenditures to ensure the project remains within budget.
  • Variation Orders: Manage the process for Variation Orders, ensuring that any changes to the project scope are documented, justified, and approved by the customer before proceeding.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee the financial health of the project by managing progress claims, ensuring timely submission and approval to maintain positive cash flow.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks through regular risk assessments and the development of contingency plans.
  • Project Objectives: Ensure the project meets all objectives, including on‑time delivery, adherence to budget, and fulfilment of client expectations.
  • Communication and Coordination:
  • Internal Communication: Facilitate clear and consistent communication within the project team, ensuring all members are informed of project progress, changes, and key decisions.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular contact with the client, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with all project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, subcontractors, and third parties, to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
  • Documentation: Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and correspondence with stakeholders.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Take on additional responsibilities as required by the Project Director or Managing Director, which may include special projects, internal initiatives, or assisting with other ongoing projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving project processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery.
  • Mentorship: Act as a mentor to junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow professionally within the company.
Requirement
  • Degree / Master in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Proficiency in various software such as MS Office, MS Projects/Primavera
  • Min 5 years of working experiences in related field
