The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and 4-5 years of experience in Power Generation Engineering. Job description

Primary Objective(s) of Position

Responsible to manage, coordinate and follow through on milestones for assigned projects to ensure all deliverables are completed on time and in accordance to customer’s requirements. These tasks include, but not limited to:

• Project documentation (tendering, contracts, design, schedules, materials).
• Contractor and vendor management.
• Assembly, testing and commissioning of equipment.
• Problem solving where necessary.
• Post-project follow up where necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for cradle-to-grave project execution from contract award to final product shipment.
• Understand customer’s requirements to develop and propose solutions or alternatives to meet these requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates, technical specifications and design drawings of proposed power delivery solution for customer’s approval.
• Plan and breakdown customer requirements into technical specifications for contractors.
• Coordinate all mechanical and electrical interfacing of designated projects to meet specifications.
• Oversee and supervise project progress and ensure milestones are achieved by contractors and vendors.
• Provide technical support for product sales and marketing activities.
• Ensure generation of project plan and conduct regular project management meetings.
• Assist with final technical inspections and testing of equipment.
• Monitor project expenditure by maintaining cost tracking sheet.
• Manage on site commissioning as and when required.
• Conduct post project review meetings.
• Attend to customer feedback.
• Follow-up on invoicing and payments.
• Assist in review and update of department procedures and manuals.
• Fulfill any other duties as and when assigned by the superiors.

Person Specifications

• Possess at least a Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), or Has at least 4 to 5 years of related experience in Power Generation Engineering and Project Management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
• Must have knowledge in power systems (mechanical and electrical).
• Must possess good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Must possess strong leadership qualities and supervisory skills.
• Must be able to write and correspond with external parties and internal departments.
• Must have good customer orientation in order to fulfil customers’ expectations and demands at all times.
• Must have high propensity for accurate information.
• Highly organized to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Able to travel as and when required.
• Knowledge of SAP system is an added advantage.
