Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is looking for a Project Manager to oversee site management. The successful candidate will assist the Principal Project Manager in ensuring that all works meet the required specifications and safety standards. A degree in Civil and Structural Engineering along with at least 5 years of relevant experience is necessary, including specific viaduct or flyover construction experience. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills as well as proficiency in project planning software.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist Principal Project Manager (PRPM)/ Senior Project Manager (SPM)/ Project Manager (PM) in day-to-day management of the contract
• Advise the PRPM/SPM/PM on site quality and safety issues.
• Determine any non-conformances on works
• Liaise with Contractor to rectify any non-conformances and document them properly
• Ensure that decisions on site issues are conveyed to the Contractor within a reasonable time frame.
• Ensure that works are carried out according to specifications, drawings and programme without compromising on quality and safety
• Provide feedback to the PRPM/SPM/PM on quality and safety matters and suggest quality improvement measures for implementation on site
• Supervise installation of instrumentation and monitoring of instrumentation
• Lead a team of supervisors to ensure full time supervision of works on site by supervisor / client

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in project/construction environment
• Proficient in relevant software programmes for planning and project work
• Pro-active team player with good analytical and communication skills
• Required to have at least 2 years of viaduct and/or flyover construction experience
