Job summary

Achieve Career Consultant Pte Ltd seeks a Senior Project Engineer / Project Engineer to lead large-scale water and wastewater projects in Singapore. You will drive delivery from planning to completion, ensuring safety, budget, schedule and quality targets are met.

The role requires 8+ years of project management experience in engineering contexts, with PMP/PE/Chartered Engineer preferred and experience with drawings and isometrics. Strong communication and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• 8+ years of project management experience in engineering consultancy, main contractor or developer.
• PM professional certification (PMP, Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer) preferred.
• Experience preparing technical and isometric drawings.
• Experience managing large-scale water/wastewater projects (desalination, sewage, industrial).
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee water and wastewater treatment system project execution from planning through completion.
• Coordinate activities with project participants to meet contract requirements.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers; monitor schedules and forecasts.
• Maintain client relationships and manage project status reports and change orders.
• Prepare and review technical submittals for client evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards.

About the role

As a Senior Project Engineer / Project Engineer, you will lead and drive the successful delivery of large-scale water and wastewater treatment projects across industries. You will oversee project execution from planning through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Project execution includes water and wastewater treatment system projects such as desalination plants, sewage treatment plants, and industrial water and wastewater treatment plants.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee water and wastewater treatment system project execution from planning through completion.


• Ensure all assigned personnel coordinate their activities with other project participants and that Contract requirements are satisfied.


• Coordinate, monitor and control sub-contractors and suppliers.


• Manage project schedules, forecasting and customer relationships.


• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned project engineering work.


• Coordinate and check engineering deliverables; review reports and set up reporting arrangements to track progress.


• Manage project status reports and change orders on client-facing activities.


• Organize and prepare technical submittals for client evaluation.


• Monitor work for compliance to applicable codes (ANSI, ASME, IEC, IET, etc.) and accepted engineering practices.


• Coordinate with service providers for project isometric and drawing mark-up.

About you

• Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical/Environmental)


• Minimum 8+ years of project management experience and project coordination role within an engineering consultancy, main contractor or developer


• Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer (preferred)


• Experience preparing technical and isometric drawings


• Experience managing large-scale environmental projects such as water treatment plants


• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills


• Good project and time management skills, and strong analytical skills


• Team player and able to work independently


• Ability to work well under pressure and tight timelines
