Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead elevator and escalator projects in Singapore. You will direct project teams, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires 4–5 years of project management experience, familiarity with elevator products, and proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project. Strong planning, teamwork, and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires 4–5 years of project management experience.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project.
• Spare parts finder database experience and SAP is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong planning, analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Project Management Process from award to handover, including statutory requirements and deliverables.
• Review project proposals to determine time frame, funding, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate pre- and post-tender surveys and ordering tasks.
• Provide regular project management reports during WIP reviews.
• Direct and coordinate project teams, attend site meetings, and oversee inspections/ handovers.
• Coordinate daily activities and resolve technical problems.
• Manage costs and flag potential overruns or delays.
• Ensure compliance with organizational norms and quality hold points.
• Execute all contractual terms and demonstrate safety leadership.

Job description

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of existing / new projects to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through others.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Project Management Process from award until handover including all statutory requirements and deliverables
• Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate and be involved in pre-& post tender survey / ordering and pre-con survey
• Provide regular project management reports for management during Work in progress (WIP) review.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project team which includes attend site meeting, involve in all internal and external inspection / handover of projects
• Coordinate daily activities and resolve technical problems
• Manage cost and pre-empt / highlight potential cost overrun and late delivery of project.
• Ensure compliance to Organizational Norms, policies, procedures and requirements of the process and quality hold points defined in the work instructions
• Execute all contractual terms
• Demonstrate safety leadership, conduct periodically quality walks, safety walks and safety inspections.
• Responsible for the employee and subcontractor safety compliance at project sites and conducting safety walks on regular basis

Education

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical &/or Electronics Engineering
• Familiarity of elevator and escalator products knowledge.
• Minimum 4 to 5 years of project management
• Exposure in lifts & escalator (preferred) or construction sector
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, namely, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
• Spare parts finder database and SAP experience an advantage but not necessary.
• Good planning, analytical and organizational skills.
• Understanding of marketing and market requirements in elevator Business
• Elevator modernization knowledge and experience.
• Great interpersonal skills and customer-oriented behavior.
• Collaborative approach, strong team-working skills and self-motivated
• Demonstrate leadership ability.
