Job Description:
- Review technical specifications for new builds, ship repair and conversion projects.
- Technical project managing for engineering department with Designer, Client, Classification, Yard production and Vendors to meet design compliance and meeting project contractual delivery timeline.
- Liaise with internal department section engineers to develop drawing list, drawing schedule and addressing to comment from parties related to the projects.
- Arrange and attending technical meetings in Batam or Singapore.
- Manage correspondence and technical information flow between Designer, Class, Client, Vendors, Yard and System integrator.
- Understand of contract, technical, equipment specifications and scope of work and supply to meet design obligations.
- On time execution of design and engineering production drawing plan for awarded projects.
- Ensure designers prepare drawing on time, closing of classification review comment, managing of vendors specification and monitoring of production drawing schedule.
- Ability to read design drawings and retrieve classification rules and Maritime regulation for review.
- Liaise with engineers in engineering to prepare reply in writing on technical matters. Follow up with the correspondent after sending until the matters resolved.
- Work with engineering document controller to ensure proper filing of emails with related parties, filing or drawing according to their status, documents issuing status, updating of drawing list status and filing of specification from vendors.
- To be able to work independently with a team.
Requirements:
- Polytechnic / Degree in Marine or Naval Arch. or equivalent.
- At least 2 - 3 years’ experience in project engineering role for engineering department for marine or offshore related industries.
- Microsoft Words, Excel, Power point and AutoCAD.
- Ability to follow up on correspondents, writing meeting minutes and managing the engineering information or document flow for meeting project compliance and delivery schedule.
- Ability to meet and converse with related parties.

- Required to travel to Batam or other countries for technical meeting when necessary.
