About the role:
As a Senior Professional in Platform Services, you will be a key contributor to the reliability, scalability and operational excellence of Partior’s core technology platforms. You will work across infrastructure, DevOps, monitoring and production operations to enable the platform to deliver always-on performance, real-time settlement and high-trust financial-grade service.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role – you’ll partner with engineering, security, and platform teams to deliver stable, automated, secure services in a fast-moving fintech environment where the stakes (liquidity, settlement risk, global scale) are high.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud / Hybrid Environment & Platform Management
- Implement and manage multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure involving cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and common function shared services systems, with strong governance, cost optimisation and performance tuning.
- Facilitate environment provisioning (dev, test, staging, production) and enforce environment consistency, security baselines and change control.
- Work closely with product engineering teams to architect network and platform strategies for new modules of the unified ledger network, microservices and containerised workloads.
Infrastructure & Automation
- Design, deploy and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, etc., aligned with Partior’s architecture.
- Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines enabling safe, frequent, automated deployments of platform services.
- Automate operational tasks (environment provisioning, patching, configuration).
- Promote infrastructure standardisation and reusable modules, supporting multiple deployment targets (on-premise, cloud, hybrid).
Security, Compliance & Financial-Grade Operations
- Partner with InfoSec and Risk/Compliance functions to ensure platform architecture and operations meet fintech/regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2, fintech/wholesale payments risk frameworks).
- Implement secure configuration baselines, identity & access controls, vulnerability management and regular audits within the infrastructure and platform services.
- Collaborate with SRE/ops teams to ensure the platform supports business continuity, disaster-recovery and regulatory audit readiness in a global payments/settlement context.
Continuous Improvement, Mentorship & Strategic Contribution
- Lead or contribute to platform-modernisation initiatives (e.g., containerisation – Kubernetes, service discovery, multi-cloud and region resiliency) reflecting Partior’s cutting-edge infrastructure goals.
- Mentor and coach junior platform/ops engineers, share best practices and uplift team capability in automation, reliability and infrastructure engineering.
- Contribute to platform strategy (capacity planning, global scale-up, new currency/market expansion) in alignment with Partior’s growth in cross-border settlement infrastructure.
- Stay abreast of fintech-infrastructure trends (DLT, tokenisation, real-time settlement, liquidity management) and feed insights into the platform roadmap.
Qualifications & Experience
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 6 + years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure operations
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) with strong knowledge in networking (DNS, multi-region network pattern, Internal ingress and egress), cloud-to-cloud and hybrid connectivity (L2/3 connection options and VPN)
- Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell), IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM template) and configuration-management experience.
- Proven experience implementing containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and architecting for scale and reliability.
- Demonstrable operational ownership mindset: availability, incident response, automation of repetitive tasks, SLAs, and continuous improvement.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Good working knowledge of Service Mesh, secrets management tool technologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines (AWS CodeBuild, Google CloudBuild, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Good programming skills (Go, Java, Rust, JavaScript)
- Prior experience working in a regulated fintech or financial infrastructure context (payments rails, settlement systems, cross-border flows).
- Experience with real-time systems, distributed ledgers, event-driven architecture, or wholesale payments infrastructure.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Terraform Associate, or equivalent.
- Exposure to global multi-currency settlement, tokenisation, or blockchain/distributed ledger technology (DLT) in a production environment.
