Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Singapore seeks a seasoned Quality Engineer to lead product and firmware quality across NPIs and sustaining programs. You will drive design verification, risk reviews, and continuous improvement, partnering with global teams to meet reliability and process standards.

You will apply APQP, FMEA, CTQ and analytics to reduce defects, improve testing efficiency, and ensure readiness for production launches. This role reports to the Singapore Quality Manager.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Quality and Design within electronics and software development.
• Broad technical background working with engineering, manufacturing, service and suppliers globally.
• Experience with electronic manufacturing, assembly and test processes.
• Working knowledge of product development cycles, quality tools and risk-based quality practices.
• Experience supporting or auditing ISO 9001 quality systems in electronics manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Build product and software quality across NPI, sustaining, and customer-facing programmes.
• Create quality requirements through design, verification, validation, and risk reviews.
• Apply Quality Engineering tools and methodologies including APQP, FMEA, CTQ, and reliability engineering.
• Convert engineering/process data into scalable use cases that improve defect detection, test efficiency, capability and productivity.
• Ensure product and process readiness for successful production launch and lifecycle support.
• Partner with teams and suppliers to improve product and process robustness.
• Resolve product and reliability issues through leading failure analysis, RCFA (cause Failure Analysis) and implementing systemic corrective actions.
• Use AI, analytics, and automation to enhance quality, productivity.
• Provide regular quality status updates, manage barriers and elevate when needed.
• Collaborate throughout the company and cultures with urgency, integrity.
• Support company policies, values and compliance requirements.

Job Description

Participate in design reviews, design verification and validation, monitor results and drive risk ensuring Product/Firmware meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance required.

Passionate with Technical Hands-On activity (Hardware/Firmware/Manufacturing) and owns product /firmware quality. Prepare and present regularly on the project quality status. Act as a role model leading and driving continuous improvement and standardization of best practices in the organization to achieve best-in-class quality by moving quality to the left. Support the organization Quality Management System.

You will Use data, domain knowledge, and scalable analytics to improve decision velocity, strengthen risk prediction, and deliver measurable productivity savings aligned with APBC transformation priorities and ISC/QME objectives.

You will report to Quality Manager based in Singapore.

Your Responsibilities:

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality and Design within electronics and software development.
• You will have Broad technical background working with engineering, manufacturing, service and suppliers globally.
• You have Experience with electronic manufacturing, assembly and test processes.
• Working knowledge of product development cycles, quality tools and risk-based quality practices.
• Experience supporting or auditing ISO 9001 quality systems in electronics manufacturing.
• You will solve routine problems and recommend practical approaches.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Advanced statistical and quality tools experience.
• DFSS, Six Sigma Black Belt or Reliability Engineering certification.
• Hardware design and manufacturing experience in automotive, aerospace or consumer electronics.
• CMMI or ASQ CSQE certification.
• Experience with AI, GenAI, Machine Learning, analytics or digital automation in engineering, test, quality or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, model validation, visualisation and scalable solution deployment.
