- Define the vision for the core app with the CTPO and translate it into clear priorities.
- Set UX principles that keep the platform coherent and easy to use as it scales.
- Use structured prioritisation to focus the team on the highest-impact improvements.
- Act as the voice of the user, ensuring user flows are intuitive, consistent and trustworthy.
2. Continuous discovery and problem definition
- Lead continuous discovery to understand user behaviour, platform friction points and emerging needs.
- Combine qualitative insight with available data to surface opportunities.
- Craft clear problem statements tied directly to user needs and business goals.
- Stay ahead of industry and product trends that shape user expectations.
3. Execution and delivery of user value
- Define success metrics focused on usability, adoption and task completion.
- Partner with engineering, design and data to scope solutions balancing value and feasibility.
- Drive iterative experimentation, prototype testing and learning cycles.
4. Core app ownership and UX foundations
- Own and evolve the core components: navigation, dashboards, search, templates, onboarding, permissions and shared components.
- Lead cross-team initiatives to remove UX fragmentation and strengthen experience patterns.
- Partner with design to evolve the design system and uphold high-quality interaction standards.
5. People leadership, coaching and product craft
- Manage junior PMs and a designer, supporting their growth and autonomy.
- Set and evolve progression frameworks for the Product team, ensuring expectations are transparent and fair.
- Coach team members in product thinking, discovery, prioritisation and communication.
- Model strong product craft and raise standards across the team.
6. Process improvement and cross-functional alignment
- Improve product processes, rituals and ways of working to support high-quality outcomes.
- Connect design, engineering, GTM, research and leadership around shared goals.
- Bring clarity to decisions, trade-offs and priorities.
- Shield the team from unnecessary noise while providing critical context.
7. Impact, viability and continuous improvement
- Make decisions that drive customer value, efficiency and long-term business viability.
- Balance UX quality, technical constraints and commercial considerations.
- Share insights openly to strengthen organisational understanding of users and markets.
Continuously refine the platform’s experience, structures and product practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management, with ownership of core app or platform features
- Strong understanding of UX, usability and user-centred product design
- Experience working closely with engineering and design teams
- Comfortable leading product discovery, prioritisation and delivery
- Able to translate user needs and business goals into clear problem statements and solutions
- Experience defining and tracking product success metrics
- Prior experience mentoring or managing junior team members is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to align stakeholders
