Responsibilities
- Drive competitive sourcing activities, identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet business requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams to establish and strengthen category strategies.
- Analyse spend across business units within the Group and identify opportunities to provide better value to the businesses.
- Perform market analysis to understand market conditions and dynamics and constantly monitor supply market activities.
- Foster partnership with key suppliers for strategic collaboration.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance through regular supplier meetings, business reviews and suppliers’ performance evaluations for continuous improvement to deliver new value-add.
- Act as interface between assigned strategic business unit and Group Procurement, actively managing this relationship to ensure the procurement strategy and annual plan is achieved in a way that delivers value to the business.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related disciplines
- Ability to understand purchase requirements, formulate sourcing plans and negotiation strategies, and execute them
- Good knowledge of procurement best practices, contract and commercial laws, financials, and cost analysis
- Resourceful with a logical and analytical mind and the ability to think strategically with strong business acumen
- Effective communication, both written and verbal, with all levels of management internally and externally; and excellent presentation skills
- Good time and priority management skills with a ‘Can Do’ attitude
