Role Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for our fresh food categories. This role is pivotal in ensuring product quality, cost efficiency, and supply chain reliability across international markets. The ideal candidate will possess deep market knowledge, multilingual communication skills, and a proven track record in procurement operations within the food industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supplier Management: Lead the selection, evaluation, and relationship management of suppliers to establish a stable and high‑quality supply base. Proactively identify and onboard new suppliers to enhance product quality and reduce procurement costs.
  2. Shelf-Life and Inventory Control: Monitor product shelf life rigorously and manage near‑expiry items to minimize financial loss. Optimize inventory planning to reduce holding costs and improve turnover efficiency.
  3. Procurement Planning: Develop procurement strategies based on customer demand and supplier capabilities. Adjust product mix seasonally to ensure timely availability of high‑demand items. Coordinate morning sourcing activities and oversee purchase order creation and delivery tracking.
  4. Product Operations: Manage category‑level operations, including product setup, descriptions, listings, promotional submissions, and third‑party report maintenance.
  5. Margin Optimization: Analyze sales and margin performance to control procurement costs. Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement improvements to enhance gross margin.
  6. New Product Sourcing: Source new products based on sales requirements, conduct competitive price analysis, and ensure timely onboarding to meet customer needs.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for a procurement professional with expertise in international food markets and trade regulations. The candidate should be fluent in English (Mandarin proficiency preferred) and possess strong analytical, negotiation, and supplier management skills.

Qualifications
  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of local markets for produce, seafood, meat, dry goods, condiments, and alcoholic beverages. Extensive supplier network with diverse and cost‑effective sourcing channels.
  • Market Insight: Familiarity with supply chain structures of major industry players and ability to leverage upstream resources.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience at a leading local platform, with at least 2 years of independent category management. Over 3 years of procurement experience in frozen and fresh food categories, with strong knowledge of sourcing channels and market trends.
  • Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and terms. Strong supplier management capabilities to maintain reliable supply chains. Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin required for coordination with headquarters. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem‑solving abilities. High adaptability and accountability in fast‑paced environments.
