Job description

ALG is currently hiring a Senior Process Engineer for our client based in Singapore. This is a full-time permanent position within a leading aviation MRO organisation, offering excellent career growth and exposure to advanced engine maintenance technologies.

Our client is a recognised name in the aerospace industry, specialising in engine overhaul, component repair, and engineering process innovation for commercial and business aviation markets.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimise repair processes for plasma spray, machining, sheet metal repair, welding, and surface treatment operations within the engine MRO environment.
  • Provide technical expertise in machine and equipment operation, including plasma spray systems, TIG welding units, and precision machining equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and review alternative repair methods, tooling enhancements, and procedural improvements.
  • Create, maintain, and update standard work instructions, repair traveler sheets, and technical documentation.
  • Review out-of-manual repair conditions and propose engineering solutions in collaboration with OEM engineering teams.
  • Draft and review tooling drawings and coordinate local fabrication or modification where necessary.
  • Lead investigations and troubleshooting of process‑related issues to ensure product quality, compliance, and cost efficiency.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including First Article Inspections and process certifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives under the organisation's quality and operational excellence framework.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and ensure workplace safety standards are maintained.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in repair or process engineering within the aerospace MRO industry.
  • Proven expertise in one or more of the following: plasma spray, TIG welding, machining, or sheet metal repair.
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical data, and engine manuals (Service Bulletins, Standard Practice Manuals, etc.).
  • Experience supporting root cause analysis, process certification, or First Article Inspection (FAI) activities.
  • Knowledge of tooling design, 3D modelling, or statistical process control tools will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; familiarity with CAD tools is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively across engineering, quality, and production teams.
