Job summary

Environmental Health Institute (EHI) at NEA Singapore is seeking a researcher to join the Vector-Pathogen Interaction Branch within the Vector Biology and Control Division. The role offers the opportunity to lead studies on vector–pathogen interactions, translate findings to public health practice, and collaborate with local and international partners.

Qualifications

A Master’s or PhD in Medical Entomology, Vector Biology or related discipline with relevant research experience.
Demonstrated research track record in vector biology or related field with peer‑reviewed publications.
Ability to independently develop and lead research projects, design studies, analyse data and translate findings into public health applications.

Responsibilities

Lead research projects from design to publication.
Advance vector competence and transmission research.
Investigate emerging vector-borne disease threats and assess transmission potential.
Translate findings to strengthen vector surveillance, risk assessment and control strategies.
Develop new methods and capabilities in the branch; mentor junior researchers.
Build partnerships and communicate research to scientific, technical and stakeholder audiences.
