Job description

As a Senior Principal Radiation Physicist, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Lead and oversee strategic planning and administrative functions related to radiation therapy services.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional leadership to radiation physicists.
  • Manage radiation safety operations and ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the commissioning and acceptance of new radiation therapy equipment to ensure readiness for clinical use.
  • Design, coordinate, and deliver educational programs, training sessions, and workshops for staff and medical students.
  • Participate in research and development initiatives focused on advancing therapeutic devices and treatment modalities.
  • Contribute to the development of technical specifications and evaluation criteria for the procurement and acceptance of advanced radiation therapy equipment.
  • Collaborate in budget development and financial reviews, supporting long-term planning for facility upgrades and equipment investments.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain organizational policies and procedures related to medical physics operations.
  • Coordinate and monitor quality control programs in radiation therapy, implementing robust safety measures to ensure patient protection.
  • Contribute to the development and coordination of comprehensive radiation safety programs and provide expert consultation to physicians and patients on radiation exposure and safety matters.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Possess amin in postgraduate degree in Medical Physics is preferred or alternatively a postgraduate degree in Physics.
