Job summary

Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) in Singapore seeks a senior research manager/director to lead WP4/WP5 and ensure project outcomes align with strategic objectives. You will coordinate with stakeholders, monitor progress, and support procurement with RFQs.

The role requires extensive experience in power electronics, energy storage, and program management, paired with strong communication and leadership abilities to operate in a fast-paced research environment at NTU.

Qualifications

• PhD in power electronics or related field required.
• 20+ years of relevant experience in research management and hands-on power electronics/power engineering/energy storage.
• Familiarity with industrial standards and grid connection codes across countries.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in power electronics circuits, field buses, communication networks, simulations, embedded C and Python.

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and guide the research teams in WP4 and WP5.
• Ensure research outcomes meet the objective of VFT.
• Liaise with management of stakeholders.
• Hold regular meetings to ensure work is on schedule.
• Assist in preparing RFQ for procurements of components and equipment.
• Track and manage project expenses.
• Keep records of progress of WP4 and WP5.
